If you could tell people bringing kids to PowWows something, what would it be?

make sure you bring them chairs and some type of snacks, and have them go to the restroom before you get to the powwow alot of locations only have porta johns

If the kids aren't engaged with the dancing, traders, food, etc then it's time to go home even if you're still having a good time. Otherwise, you or those around you will begin to be annoyed with the kids and that will lead to a bad time.

A bonus comment:
Sometimes kids struggle with the goings on at a powwow (like a big giveaway) so maybe bring something to do for them to get them through the slow times.

Take it easy with them, small bites and baby steps
What I mean is this:
You might find things interesting and exciting
But to the kids especially the very young ones
To them it may be the most boring thing
Be prepared that you may entertain them and not get much viewing in

Of course that is true with anything you do with your kids

So much of it is common sense that parents should use, but sadly, to many don't! For those folks, I am with Migiziwomen, duct tape works fine!

If you don't have duct tape, use a rope!

Don't let them run around in the arena. Little kids sometimes feel the drum. If they are standing near the edge or just inside the circle, let them dance!

Unruley children should be eaten and not heard. Parents of unruley children should be flogged or boiled in the used frybread oil. Pinning them down on a fireant hill is old fashon. However it is an option.
