Event in Arlington, TX?

A friend told me of an event held in Arlington TX, but I don't see anything on any calender about it. I don't know if it was classified as an actual pow wow, or another type of event. I was led to believe it was an annual event and held at the Arlington Convention Center. Does anyone have the slightest idea what I'm talking about, or was this all a strange dream...lol. Thanks in advance.

This is the only thing that I found...

The 19th Annual
Texas Indian Market
and Southwest Showcase
March 28-29-30, 2008
Arlington Convention Center
Arlington, Texas

I'm not from that way, maybe someone else knows of other things.

Also found this in Arlington in September. Looks to be yearly.

Intertribal Championship Powwow

2602 Mayfield Road
Grand Prairie, TX 75050
(972) 647-2331
Traders Village...

Every September, several hundred Native Americans from dozens of tribes across the U.S. and Canada come to the Grand Prairie Traders Village to take part in the Intertribal Association Championship Pow Wow. Dancers dress in traditional regalia of feathers, bucksin, bells, and beads to participate in the tribal dance contests. Artisans and craftsmen display their wares, and offer demonstrations in the Indian Arts and Crafts Show. There are also teepee exhibits, live music, and plenty of authentic Native American food.

Event Date: 09/07/2007

The event at the Arlington Convention Center is the Texas Indian Market held in March (28,29,30).
I work in Arlington and also have a friend that is a vendor at the Indian Market every year. I believe that this is the event you are hearing about.

Thanks so much for the info. I think it must be the Southwest Showcase in March that I heard about. I already go to the Intertribal Pow Wow at Trader's Village every year, so I'm familiar with that one. Thanks again, I'll check it out!

Wow, I live in southeast Texas, and I didn't even know about this annual event. I know there's a pow-wow at the Richland College on November 10, 2007. Looks like a good one.
