Thobias go to as many powwows you can make friends & don't be afraid to ask questions learn to dance all styles, enjoy your self & dance intertribals, & learn to bead, support natives by writing your city council & vote for their rights & subscribe to native news, you'll get plenty of opportunities to vote, if you start making your own Regalia & wear it without nonage & dance without years of practice you just might be labeled a wannabe. not all people will think that but a lot will. here are a couple of sites

If you want to dance - dance. For the most part if yuo do things in a right way and you have a decent outfit you'll most likely be ignored anyway. I wouldn't worry about it. It amazes me sometimes wehn people come on here and ask questions then get a variety of answers they didn't want to hear in the first place then cry foul because people react and are picking on them.

Once again - the Spectators forum is for newbies to ask questions and get answers in a moderated forum - we believe this is a safer way for them as it avoids flaming and rude comments (well mostly avoids anyways)
It takes time for the mods to get back here to review and approve posts - we do our best to check frequently but hey gotta work and pay the bills too! |
