[b]I can only hope the moderators keep a close one on this one here.
Seeing as how YOU ARE NOT of the Lakota Oyate "Spirit World" you are not nor ever will be in a position to say the Ghost Dance should be revived. Claims of spirit connection by some ancestor does not make you all-knowingly profound. The Lakota Oyate has decided that this dance, any attempts to perform it ,even the idle discussion of it is hands off. This is by consensus because of the consequenes dished out to OUR ANCESTORS, ie., Lakota because of their adherence to it. IT IS NOT FOR ANY OTHER NATIVE PERSON, TRIBE/NATION, WANNABE, INSTANT INJUN, OR CRYSTAL-GAZING NEWAGER (SUCH AS YOURSELF) TO DECIDE TO THE CONTRARY. You make 2 post on this website and from the start try to come off like some "voice of authority" Like my Kola said above your people rolled over on their bellies like dogs and LET the wasichu run over them. Take your CHESLI (B.S.) to one of the many aforementioned WANNABE, INSTANT INTERNET INJUN, CRYSTAL-GAZING NEWAGER SITES on the web. I'm sure with the crappola you spew you should find yourself an instant hit and gain quite a following. Quote:

As a moderator, it seems that SpiritWorld is taking this thread way off topic. I have followed and watched and read many of SpirtWorld's links. It is not generally about spirituality or the Ghost Dance but mostly about revolution. If SpiritWorld or others wish to continue this line of discussion, I recommend that it be done in the Native Life Forum.

Aye, and much like the Prairie Chicken Dance, most people on this board don't know much about it either - beyond what's in books or what google turns up.
Speaking of, you can find a million books on Ghost Dancing. A lot of them are even at the library. Hey Pappy - the Lakotas didn't bring the dance in to the world, they just popularized for film and print. Is this what you wanna be doin' when the Yellow Hand comes back? Squabblin on the internet? Spirit World's talk is real common for South of the Boarder Natives. You been to Chiapas Pappy? The Yucatan? You really oughta go; It'll change your life forever. |
