I think if the singers are singing at the drums hungover or still drunk or coming off a high, it wouldn't matter if a woman is on her moon.

I think the only medicine being used at this time is advil for headaches. haha

pregnant moons....

I was always told that on moon time, to stay out of the circle, and try to stay a safe distance from the drums/singers, and do not touch any of the Mans stuff at this time.
As far as dancing while pregnant, I asked a Clan Mother this question not to long ago, and she had told me it varies from place to place, some people dont mind a pregnant lady dancing, other places it is looked at as a no-no. And that if you are pregnant and unsure of the protocol at that particular pow wow, to approach the arena director and MC and ask, and to also ask ALL the Drums participating how they feel about it.
That is just what I was told, and if I ever get blessed enough to be with child, I'll know to ask wherever I am at.
I hope this helps.

Interesting - it's amazing the beliefs people have. What were to happen if a women went in the arena, danced, touched a man's gear, and went too close to the drums all the while menstrating and not telling anyone? It sounds like an honor thing, which I respect, but I bet there are some who ignore it, huh?

Umm, I'd posted a question and suddenly it's gone...what happened?

Nevermind, it's here now.

This is a very delicate subject for many, alot of what we do depends on where or not we are having our cycle, prepareing food for some, sweat, dancing. I dont dance while on my moon ,I dont ever touch a mans belongings ,moon or not, I help my young sons ,But I wont after they get big. Some say you could get sick if touching crtian things or make the person sick who the items belong to ,I could go on and on with this subject.
