Question Assistance please

I own a dance studio in Houston Texas which incorporates ballroom and bellydance. Twice a year I have gala shows for the Bellydance community with the workshop teacher and I do love to have a variety of cultures performing.

For my workshop in December, I was wondering how to get in contact with a group that could do a Native American Dance as a number in our gala show. I do not know who to contact here in Houston. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks for yor help.

try going to a local pow wow and asking around. the lead dancers and the mc are good people to ask. also, if you see a dancer you like, just ask them. it's never a bad thing to ask some one, the worst they can say is no, right.

You're in luck! There is an Indian reservation only 90 minutes from Houston. The Alabama-Coushatta tribe has a website i believe it's www.alabamacoushatta.com you can search and check. I don't know if they still do dance trips but you can check their public relations department or gift shop.

Zahir,

Contact ac_miss through a PM (private message). It is located on the far topright corner of your screen. ac_miss has been on several dance tours both in the US and abroad. Her brothers also have a singing/drum group.
