Hmm..not sure why you are lyao SBZ..we typically frequent the pawn shops when we are home in okie land, lol call me crazy but I thought it might mean more for his brother and I to make the drum stick..plus if I am going to buy one already made I have some friends and family that are singers in Ponca, Tahlequah and other Okie areas that I am sure could help me out .I had priced one already done with a friend here in Wichita but thought I really didn't want to spend that much $ right now...didn't know the kit was "corny" thanks for your opinion and input though!

Cool

Hey, the last ones that I made, I used fiberglass rods for the sticks and 4" sterile self adherent wrap for the heads and covered them with either hide or heavy duty felt. So far, so good. That wrap gives it a good solid head.

I can make my own stick but I ordered a set of matching sticks for my drum. I ordered them from this guy aye_how_er_007 (Jeff Walsh). I wired him the money on 2/1/07 and as of today... no sticks, no correspondence from him... AT ALL. It all sounds good but BEWARE.

I just started making sticks in the last couple years. I made 14 big drum sticks this Spring, and believe me each one of them were better than the last. I'm confident now, that mine a purty darned good. You know they're good when people pick them up on the table and hand you the money for them. :)
