I know a Drum Group in New York who needs a lead singer!!
They are a well established group and well known.

This seems like an odd place for an established well known group to be looking for a lead singer.

What does this position offer? Salary, Health n Dental? 401 K? Do we get a place to stay?

If the lead singer is leaving..isn't it up to THEM to establish a new lead singer from with in the group...or for them to find a replacement...?

as I stated befor he left on short notice, and no one on the drum can lead the songs. If you can not help please do not poke fun at the situation.

I don't think anyone is poking fun at the situation...just that this is a situation that does not need to plasterd out in public. There are always a ton of ways to handle a situation...but often, there is one way to handle a problem that is "least restrictive" for all.

My recommendation on what has been posted...if they have committments...get in touch with the committees and explain to them the situation w/o using any names. I know this really "sucks", but, for those who are truly there for the right reasons will be able to "save face" amongst the trail and hopefully find someone to sing with. The best thing they may be able to do in helping the committee is to help them find someone to replace them and perhaps they can aide the group by sitting in with them.

The reality of this situation is that "this drum group" will not be able to function as "__________" because typically the name is centered around the Lead/Head Singer. The Head Singer has to have strict/strong knowledge of the ways of the people in which they "lead". If you bring in someone from outside, you run the risk of conflict as the Head Singer is trying to lead the group in one direction (according to the job if you will) and the group is wanting to go in another direction (according to the way they have started).

What may end up happening, should these folk remain interested in doing for the people, is that they will wind up becoming absorbed into another or they will go their own way. If this is not an option for them (i.e. pride can be a ***** sometimes) then someone is gonna need to "anty up".

Sometimes your best leaders are found when they have to take on that role!

Yup, Silvercloud is the wellest-known drum group in NYC.

WhoMe, not to get too picky on words, there's a slight difference in well known and well established. For example here in Wake Forest, Shorty's Hot Dogs is well established, been in business for decades in the same location even. But I don't think they're well known. But that aside, I still think this is a kinda odd place to be looking for a head singer for a drum group, well known or well established.
