Tail Dancers

I was recently asked if there were Women Tail Dancers.

I've never seen a woman tail dancers, only men.

Are there Women Tail Dancers? Or is it strictly men?

Women tail dancers. I never heard of such a thing.

However, Abe Conklin was nudahonga (headman) of the Ponca hethushka for 20 years, and he instituted a revival dance for the women, the Minkasi. Abe was very conscientious at the hethushkas in thanking the women for their attendance, both lady singers and spectators. He realized that something might be done in their favor, even though the society dance was all male. After the dinner break at the HOME dance, the singers render a number of lively Minkasi songs. This is a dance for women only, and it gives them an opportunity to dance before the evening session of the all male hethushka.

I have seen a women dance a tail at Grayhorse. For this she paid the drum.

only thing is...
