It's that time of the year again. The 2007 Midnight Sun Intertribal Powwow is again inviting all drum groups to send in a letter of interest, biography of drum and drum music to their committee. They will choose one drum that will be their special guest in mid-July for the 6th annual MSIP Traditional powwow in Fairbanks, Alaska. The only thing that would be needed is an updated letter of interest and any other things you want to change about the biography of your drum. I would suggest that you do this, and send the letter right away. Your submission from last was turned over by me personally to the new powwow committee secretary. As I'am still a volunteer with the MSIP organization, this is what I would recommend. The drum selection committee will be meeting in March 2007 to select this years guest drum, and again all drums are welcome to send in a package of information about your group. Please make sure to visit this year's website and click on the link for the drum, as more details about coming to Alaska as our guest drum is at the site.

Still looking for our guest drum! Just came home from the powwow meeting; we have a lot of people asking questions and contacting the committee, but no one actually following through. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to travel to the nicest, prettiest place in Alaska....... Every drum that has ever come up for this powwow, as the guest has thouroughly enjoyed themselves.
