Invited Drums

JIM ANQUOE PICKED THE DRUMS AND HE HAS RECEIVED MANY SUPER TELEPHONE CALLS ABOUT THE INVITED DRUMS FOR 2006 RED EARTH. JUDGING FROM THE RESULTS--NOT BEING A TYPICAL CASINO DANCE WHERE DANCERS ARE EXCUSED EVERY 15 MINUTES EVERYONE ENJOYED HOW HE RAN THE DANCE. THERE WERE LOTS OF COMMENTS MADE TO HIM (THAT I HEARD)THAT THEY WISHED MORE POWWOWS WERE LIKE THAT. THE DRUM GROUPS WERE TREATED WELL BY HIM. HE HAD HIS RUNNERS CHECKING ON THEM REGULARLY TO MAKE SURE THEIR NEEDS WERE MET AND I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO SEE WHO HE PICKS FOR NEXT YEAR. WILL IT BE HARD TO LOCATE BETTER ONES THAN WHAT WAS THERE THIS YEAR?

He had a great mix of drums! And they all were rocking!

Jim ran a great dance and everyone felt his hospitality. He's arena staff checked in often to make sure Kelli and I were taken care of!

Jim Anquoe

I Spoke To Mr. Anquoe This Morning And He Was So Happy That The Invited Drum Groups, Some Dancers And Spectators Have Been Calling Him And Saying R.e. Was A Fun Powwow This Year. That Is How It Should Be--fun. Paul, You And The Wife Deserved Being Checked On. You Do Alot For So Many. Anquoe Worked Hard To Make Everyone Happy......there Are Always A Few That Just Won't Be Happy About Anything But He Hasn't Got Any Of Those Calls---yet. I Am Glad To Hear That People Are Taking The Time To Let Him Know It Was Good. His Boys Are Being Well Trained By One Of The Best To Run A Powwow. I Watched Those Guys And They Were All About Doin The Right Thing---no Nonsense.
