Maybe thease young guys should work on becoming dedicated young singers. Remember the old way of singing southern is one person being head singer and then everyone coming together to help the singer. Remember the old ways...........TMS

I was told via the Lumbee web site that it was the weekend of the 7th right after the parade.I hope it was right if not I've done missed it.Please let me know. :p

Lumbee Homecoming is July 7th, the parade is July 7th at 10am. THe powwow follows right after. Here are some details.

Head Male: James Stevenson(Grass Dancer)
Head Female:SHelly Strickland
Host Drum: Southern Sun

Grand Entry: Right after parade.

I know I'm way late in posting a reply to this, but I thought I might as well give it a whirl. I've heard these guys in VA and NC. From what I heard I thought they were a pretty good group. I've heard better though.

Since Edisto was brought back up, I was wondering if these guys were going to be in Hardeeville SC in March. I heard so much about them. I thought I would draw my own opinions about them when I see them. If anyone could let me know if they will show for this one seeing that they are in SC. You may PM if you'd rather.

Well, I can't remember if it was in Chesapeake or at the Lone Star in Suffolk/Surry, but I do know that I've heard these guys at least 3 times. I know there was a group at one of the two I named that was really bad, one that was so-so, and one that was great, just can't recall who was who. Were you guys in Chesapeake in June 2001?

We were in Chespeak in June of 1999 but haven't been back since then. The only drum group other than Edisto that I can think of that goes to Chesapeak is Eastern Bull

hey black eagle,
you're memory is failing cause you joined the A.F.;) but Edisto does sound really good. i've heard them at acouple pow wows. and they sounded awesome this past year at the Nansemond pow wow.
