Talking Standing to show Respect

I know there is a lot of regional customs on the pow-wow trail, but what is correct in the following cases:

Q: Should a drum's singers stand during:

> Grand Entry (If you are not the ones singing)
>During the Flag Song
>During the Invocation/Prayer
>During Honor Songs
>During Vet's Song
>When the Jingle dress Dancers are Dancing--especially during a requested healing/blessing song for the sick.

What do you singers think? How is it done in your region?

You already answered your question. There are regional/tribal differences.

We don't stand for anything unless an elder approaches the drum and then we stand to shake his/her hand. Other than that, we sit with the drum. This past weekend I had the opportunity to sing with some Kiowas from Carnegie, and they practice the same way we do...no standing.

Thats one thing we agree on. Plus take your hat off when you shake their hand too. Which Kiowas? Billy Hunting Horse, Charlie and Matt and Monsenior or wut?

I think it is regional
At Eastern Powwows lots of Standing for various songs
More than I have ever seen...
But at Okla Powwows just Grand Entry and Veteren or Flag songs
And the Singers never stand unless called to supper!
