Which Is Better?????
I have seen drum groups that were as loud as ever, but you could pick out certain people in the drum group that were singing louder than others. On the other hand I have seen drum groups that do not have much volume but it sounds like 1 person singing when there is actually 8 or 10. What do you all prefer? Volume or matching voices/togetherness?

drums
I am female but was taught by the old Poncas. They always said that you didn't have to kill that cowhide a second time to get the right sound out of it. In other words, all the drum needs is to keep the beat and be heard. The songs sound better also. The singers don't have to compete with the volume of the drum and are able to keep a decent voice til the last beat.

Come on man you had to know that most knowledgeable people would vote that to sing together with skill and make it sound good at a decent level is a better choice over blasting it out like some people and sound like 6-7 different people screaming aroud a drum.

I VOTE FOR HARMONY AND THE SAME BEAT. I HAVE TRIED TO DANCE TO DRUMS THAT CAN'T KEEP A BEAT. USUALLY THE HEAD SINGER WILL REMEDY THE PROBLEM. THE GREATS DID. I'VE SEEN DRUMMERS LEAVE AND SINGERS STAY.
