What do you guys do when you've got only a small group of guys who are undoubtedly devoted....but not enough to set up at a pow wow for an entire weekend when they are ready?

Do you just wait until that next singer or two comes around?

Do you call up your best bud around the way to travel with ya?

or Do ya just pack your bags and call it quits?

When you follow the will of IT that created you, understanding that your purpose is not for you...but for IT and all that IT has created, there can be no wrong except failure to be obedient. Only then do we jeopardize the gifts we are given.

Its not the final destination that defines us, rather the journey taken!

hey man- thats the story of my drum! theres only been a couple contest powwows where we had more singers than the minimum, and that was only 1-3 more than it. We usually have to scrap for the minimum. But we dont care, we just sing wherever no matter where, big powwow or small dance. The best advice that I was given to me by someone I respect greatly was "keep your core group together and everything else will fall in place"

We usually have at least 6 singers. if we go below that we will call on someone in th e area we know.

This past weekend at a small pow-wow, we set up a drum with only two of us. We had a blast. All you need is a lead and follow.
