Who cares who wins. This year its not about the money or even about contest. everyone just going to sing. Enough with the whos going to win schemitzun!!! Yellowammer has provewd their point. So has Cozad, Bad Medicine, and Youngbird. You should be posting whose going to win the "gathering"!!!!!!

It the "popular names shouldn't matter...
yeah, singers sing against the drum, not other groups, just like dancers dance against the drum, not other dancers.

No two pow-wows are alike.

I guess I have to agree with that statement. Gathering is over-rated. Its becoming more of show then powwow, with all the exotic performances to boot and the flashy lights, camara, action!!!!!

i think yellowhammer will win...there new CD is AWESOME..those guys sound deadly in it..they always have ood songs with good melodies..you can always tell a YELLOWHAMMER song they always stand at from others..all the groups sound good but YELLOWHAMMER stands out a little more awesome singers..

okndnman, What is that statement, "At least the Peqouts are federally recognized.", supposed to mean? Do you feel that just because Congress says someone is Indian, that that makes that person more Indian than another person from an unrecognized tribe? Don't let the white man tell you who is what and who is not!

Do you attend a powwow because of who is running the powwow or because it's a good powwow? If someone of another race is promoting Indians, do you feel that it's not they're place to do that?
