Ya Know,
All of the guys you listed are great singers but they may not make an ultimate crew. There are several very distinct singing styles within this group of singers. This is what makes drum groups good. They generally have a core crew of singers that are well practiced. Their voices compliment each others. If you just throw together a bunch of good singers you may get a good mess. Brown Hornet |

I do agree with BrownHornet about having a core group of good singers. I think what makes a singer good or even exceptional is his ability to work with others. The list of singers that were listed are of excellent calibur in my personal opinion and I think would work well with each other. In Oklahoma, the majority of that list usually are known to be asked to sit in the center of the arbor at the drums because of their ability. Yes they do have to compliment each other in order to sound good but these singers, with their experience, would sound beautiful. They already do when one is lucky enough to hear them.
I also think that your own personal list was asked for. In my Humble opinion my group is like this: Drum Name: Little Brown Spotted Pony Running Over the Rolling Green Hills **For Short - Rollin' Hills The one already mentioned by sonnyjc1 Hokie Clairmont - Tha Boyz McAllen Garvin - Tha Boyz & Midnight Express Opie Day Bedeaux - Midnight Express Randy Paskemin - BlackStone Terry Paskemin - BlackStone Harvey Dreaver - Whitefish, Jrs. Shane Dion - Northern Cree Terry St. John - Eyabay BrownHornet - I'm curious - what does your list look like? |

I was going to rattle off a list but...
after looking at Western Wishes List I believe he has put the best (all in fun) old guys and young guys list together. I LIKE HIS TASTE. These Young Guns can sing up a storm, that is what a good singer can do , be able to sing with anyone, old style or contemporary. Willing to learn off the old guys. Ya know what I mean? These guys are up and coming. I wish them luck. Now for the Northern Singers: Hokie, Bud and McAllen can hold their own with the contemporary singing. I hope the hostle one has settled down. Sounded like a personal problem to me...I wish him luck and maybe he will get his name on some kinda list one day. Ayeeeeeee. Just kidding. Wheew...but I am glad he is gone. NB101 :Angel2 |
