Jibby might go. She's the lead singer of the SS.

I'll let her get to you.

Wait a minute! If you sing southern, maybe Super can help you out. She's from Texas and she knows more 49 songs than you could handle.

Do you raise your fist during flag songs and veteran songs?

What languages are your songs going to be written in? Cherokee? Lakota?

Before you learn anymore songs you should make sure all of your singers have been given their Indian name and that everyone knows their animal spirit guide. Do that and then check out the Chit Chat forum. There's a thread in there about a drum group called First Light. They have CDs for sell. Learn their songs and you'll be in tip top condition. Indians everywhere will love you and accept you for what you are doing to preserve true Native culture. And if you play your cards right, you may even be able to start your own tribe, get federal recognition, build a casino, and never have to work another day in your life... all by the time youre 18. I bet you never realized being a Boy Scout could be such a lucrative position.

And remember no matter how much you may suck, or how good you are, or the things you get wrong just remember that you are trying to honor native ways so that validates your efforts. If you are uncertain about a particular song or ceremony, go ahead and do it anyway, and give it your best shot. Feel free to add your own unique touches, or even change it if it suits you. Even make it up as you go along. Good intentions go a long way around here.

And a lot of smudging helps.

If you are not in the market for a Spiritual Cow, I am pretty sure that you can go to India and get any old cow, because those Indians view the Cow as Sacred.
