i kinda see what foxy is saying i no alot of bad things that has happen to alot of people at 49's maybe somthing happen to her at one who knows but some times they do get out of control like one year at the sac n fox 49 a girl did get raped and every year when theres one around Tulsa someone gets shot or stabed so i can see that so. young ndn guys always trying to be a thug and thats just ignorate but i dont agree with band all 49's just keep it clean.:o :Angel2

That's not even realistic. All the big time singers have sang 49 and gone to 49's. 49's are classic, when they are real 49's and not just a bunch of kids sitting on their hoods listening to boom boxes(rap andjungle boogie music) But when you are talking about 49, like stroud, then that is 49. 49 in itself is not anything negative, though there are people that go to them that do stupid stuff and can't handle their liquor or want to fight over an old babe (lol) but you can't say all singers should not sing in competition and 49 too. Try telling the Cozads that 49 and pow wow singing should be kept separate, or Bad Medicine, or Southern Boys, or Little Crutch Singers, or for the north, Tha Tribe, High Noon, Battle River, Midnite Express, The Boyz. They can all 49 all night and put out some tunes the next day, so who are we to judge them. They can sing......anything, anywhere, anytime and make us like it. LOL

I have heard tapes from 49's in the 50's and 60's and they rocked. And the drink was not a part of them. If I knew the 49 was more about haning out with friends and snagging instead of getting drunk I would go to more. I have heard the storys about people dying and girls getting rapped and that stuff is not cool. I would go if it was just about the songs, but its not like that most of the time. Now its about the fire water 1st and then the song.
