Perhaps if the point could have ever been made it has been made.

But legal action? A hefty fine? Are you the Doogie Howser of the legal world?? Perhaps you watched Judge Judy and have received your legal training there. I have to figure you were kidding or just stirring the pot?? I am not saying it was an appropriate thing to say but saying it is a legal matter is a stretch to say the least.

I am sure that those lawyer phones are ringing off the hook on this one. Fear is running rampant.

The dead horse is well beaten, the cows are in the barn and Elvis has left the building.

Now my real question about a flag song is, Why do southern drums only have one flag song that every drum nation wide sings? Ok. maybe two songs.

There are many more than just one or two Southern flag songs, though I will admit that the Ponca and Kiowa flag songs are the most commonly sung flag songs. Many other southern nations have their own flag songs and drums from those nations often sing them In some tribes each band has A different flag song. An example of this would be the Sauk-n-Fox. Rosehill sings one of these different Sauk-n-Fox flag song. Southern Thunder sings the Pawnee flag song and Eagle Claw sings the Comanche version.

Ok little boy you want me to respond fine, but understand I got shoes older than you say you are so don't expect me to continue this game with you. You ain't worth my time.

The question was called satire and if you bothered to pay attention in school instead of sleeping you might have been able to figure that out ... not to mention also being able to spell correctly. First off did you catch that above? The line you are complaining about was a question and not a comment/statement. Secondly if you bothered to read the next line you would have seen that it said "With all joking aside..." I have no clue who this person (hoopster) actually is or whether they are male or female, 12 or 60 years old. All I and others tried to do is point her in the CORRECT direction in that what she was/is doing is very wrong. Just because you do not like it or have read things into what was written is not my fault.

If you think my satirical question could get me sued or fined then you obviously slept through your civics class as well and know little of the law. If you did have a clue you would understand that your advise like could be a sexual offense and suggest that u would apologize for that other wise u could be lookin at a pretty hefty fine.. can be seen as a threat especially when in your next post you go from presuming to saying definatively dude its sexual assault (verbal) its making and infrence that u dont dont know. almost a hate crime(verbal 1's) like calling a male a "faggot" or "queer" weather they are or are not. and this is a crime punishable by the law. and since you KNOW the law then you know that threats ARE assault.

You are obvious proof as to why parents should supervise and restrict their children from too much time on the net.

My comments are based on what I have been taught and my experiences over the years I have been around the circle. They should in no way be taken as gospel truths and are merely my opinions or attempts at passing on what I have learned while still learning more.

I am not trying to be disrespectful but let me give a few words of advice. Women DO NOT swing a drum stick at a southern drum. Most of the 'southern' ladies I know will not even touch the drum or drum sticks or anything else having to do the drum. The ladies sit in a second row behind the men and they sing from there. There are no female Southern drum head singers besides yourself that I have ever even heard of much less seen. I for one would not want to be at the first powwow you show up and try and sing at, cause the southern plains old men and women there are liable to get flat ugly on you and your group.

I have seen ladies sitting at northern drums swinging a stick and singing with the men, but I have also seen respected southern drums protest to the committee or just get up and leave when a drum like this shows up at a dance.

Here are few links to threads you should read.

why can't.....

Women sing around the drum

Female Drum Groups

Can women use the drum

Be sure to take look at where many of the folks with unfavorable opinions of women swinging a drums stick are from (tribe and location). This topic comes up mostly in northern singing forum because it just aint done down south.

I have sang southern for around 20 years and not once have ever seen a gal sitting with the men at any drum I have sang with.
