Side panals and aprons

I was wondering if you could tell me how your side panals and apron are connected. Do you have them mounted to a belt? Do they tie on idividualy? Which do you like better? Also what fabrics are you using for these parts...other than velvet, buckskin or wool?

mine are on a belt and the edges of the aprin are stitched to the belt so they don't slide off. and both are black velvit.
