Well I know I never write on powwows.com anymore but this one caught my attention. Personally I give these girls lots of credit....cuz they have more energy than I ever had haha. I danced smoke a long time. And now I can't even think about dancing against all these younger girls cuz they would tear me my oldness up haha. They're doing an great job. My style was a lil more simple but I know it's a lot different than what them old schoolers used to do when they did all those shows back in the day. So I say good job to these young girls cuz they may be a lil more "flashy" but I know that they love to dance just as much as me...it's not really all about winning to them or anything like that. They're putting all this effort into making their styles different. I know the girls in my family really put lots of hard work and money into their outfits to try to look nice out there and they all dance really hard for themselves not just to win. That's just my opinion anyways....

i can so relate...its kinda like the jingle dress...almost but yeah...i've been invited to seneca country for the veterens p wow in the summer for the past 4 years now, my hosts started pointing things out to me n stuff i can pretty much tell the diff between the contemp and the O G peeps, i've always been in favor of keeping things as they were when we started chit...but i guess for contest they have to get the judges attention you know? like high kicks n waving theyre fans...getting peeps attention in case theyre a judge one day...but as long as there is still O G style dancers itll be ok lol

Interestingly enough, I was just talking about this 10 minutes ago, and I was told Karen George could get tear it up...

But I like both styles! It just depends on the dancer. I like the ones that interpret the song with ease, it's smooth, and it looks hot....how vague is that?! *L*

Ok-so example...I like Tia Smith and Jordan Smith . I think they're a nice blend of Contemp and Old style...nice footwork-all that fun stuff!
