They have a few tapes made (I don't know about CD's) and they are my favorite to listen and jam to. The tapes were recorded when Kyle Dowdy Sr. was still alive.

This group has some of the best singers around.

Josh is a good singer....So is Jon Block...Come from good families....Geez I remember when the Late Richard Johnny John travelled with them! Not sure if Kevin still travels....? Good choice to represent Haudenoshone (sp?) culture....

There are a lot of pretty good singers out there you can use.

Are you planning on hiring a whole singing group or only one person?

If you are planning on using a singing group the Alleghany singers are awesome. If you would like to hire only one person I would recommend Cam Hill.

Cam would be my choice too. His voice is just so mesmerizing. He can sing lots more than just smoke; if need be.

Plus he is the schemitzun smoke dance champ 2 yrs running!!!

This is Josh and I'd like to say nya weh for all the props from everybody. Not just for me, but for the Allegany Singers as well, we:so:h nya weh ga gwe: go. Just to answer a few questions, Kevin still travels. He's still singing, both longhouse and pow-wow, and he can still tear up some smoke dance. The best dance off I have ever seen was him and Glen Miller at the oneida new york pow-wow back in the late 90's. The whole pow-wow was goin nuts. thats when they had them dance under the spotlights. Anybody else remember that? If you've ever danced to Richard Johnny-John, Avery Jimerson Sr, Herb Dowdy Sr, Dar Dowdy, Kyle Dowdy Sr, Bill Crouse Sr, John Block, Al George, or myself, then you've danced to the Allegany Singers. Anyways, nya weh go wah again for the props, anybody wanna hit me up feel free, if ya need a singer, i'm always up to go sing. e:sgo ge ae' ga gwe: go
