ok I help now here's my recipe :

CHILI-CHEESE CORNBREAD
1 cup yellow cornmeal
2/3 cup all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 cup sour cream
2 eggs
1/4 cup veg. oil
1 1/2 cup shredded cheddar
1 can corn drained
1 4oz can of green chiles drained

heat oven to 400 grease a 9 in round pan or 9 in cast iron skillet
combine dry ingredients in small bowl
combine sour cream,eggs & oil in med. bowl stir well
add dry ingredients,cheese .corn & chiles into the med. bowl
mix well, pour into pan or skillet, bake 30 to 35 mins.insert the old toothpick to see if done.if done cool bout 10mins.then cut & enjoy

Not really. Just have a hard time finding recipes back on page 211 when I want to make them.

Thanks for the recipe, but you can start your own thread. Cuz now I'll have to post a link here to this recipe here so you can find it from there when you're over there and not here. Or you're looking there and it's over here.

ive been missing her as well... I have a question at one of our dinners a gal brought breakfast tamales, they had raisens and cinn then rolled in the masa of course. dang those were sooo good and recipes?

Those sound good! At Christmas time I tried to make some sweet tamales with jelly in them, but it didn't work. The jelly just kinda disappeared into the masa. I bet raisins would work great.

I'll look around for a recipe.

recipe for sweet tamales

24 dried cornhusks
1 cup lard
1 tsp. salt
3 cups masa hanna mix
1 1/2 cups warm water
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
2/3 cup each of pecans & raisens

soak corn husks like u would for any tamale
beat lard & salt until fluffy,slowly beat in masa alternately w/water til very light & fluffy.add brown sugar,baking powder,cinnamon & nutmeg, mix until well blended.
drain corn husks & pat dry.spread 2 tbl. of dough in center of husk,forming a 3x2 in.rectangle and spread completely to right edge.spoon 1 tsp. each of pecans & raisens lengthwise down center of rectangle.fold tamales & tie string around center of tamale.steam bout 2 hours . don't crowd tamales when steaming ,they expand.
