Burfday Brownies wif shocklat frosting
Brownies
Cream 1/2 cup butter (or magarine) with 1 C. of sugar. Add an egg and beat everything together until its fluffy. Add two more eggs, one at a time being sure to beat the mixture thoroughly. Meaure 1 cup of flour, 3/4 c. chocolate syrup and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract into the bowl that has the butter-sugar- eggs in it. With a spatula fold the ingrediants into the butter. Don't over mix it or your brownies will be tough and taste like they have sand in them. Spread in an oiled 9" square pan and bake in a 350 deg F (moderate) oven for about 40 minutes (or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean). Cool in the pan on a wire rack. Frosting Heat 1 tablespoon butter (or margarine) and 3 tablespoons of milk until the butter is melted. Mix in 1 1/2 cup powdered (confectioner's) sugar, 1/8 teaspoon salt and 1/4 c. unsweetened powdered cocoa, and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract. Thin with milk until it is of a spreadable consistency, stirring until the icing is smooth. |

Teenah's Too Cool

I've noticed a real difference between brownies made with melted chocolate, and cocoa powder.
I'm going to try this recipe with the chocolate syrup and see how good they are. I'm sure they're DEELISHISH but so far my favorite are the cocoa powder ones. |
