Onion Chicken Wings

Ingredients 1 cup packaged breadcrumbs 2 tsps. French onion soup mix 1 tsp. lemon rind, grated 12 chicken wings 1/3 cup plus 3 Tbsps. plain flour, approximately 2 eggs, lightly beaten 2 Tbsps. plus 2 tsps. olive oil 2/3 cup plus 2 Tbsps. tomato sauce 1 onion\cooked, finely chopped 1 Tbsp. plus 1 tsp. barbecue sauce 1 Tbsp. plus 1 tsp. chutney Instructions Preheat oven to temperature 350°F. Combine crumbs, soup mix and rind in a shallow plate. Fold wing tips behind drummette part of wing to secure shape. Place flour in a heavy plastic bag. Add wings and shake well to coat. Remove from bag, shaking off excess. Dip wings in eggs, then in crumb mixture. Place wings on greased oven tray, brush with oil and bake about 30 minutes or until wings are cooked through. Stir remaining ingredients together in a saucepan over low heat until just hot. Serve wings with warm barbecue sauce. |
