Always have been and always will be a METS fan. I checked out the Yankees bandwagon for a while (as bad as the Mets had been in the late '70's), but it will always be the Mets first. hhmmm... Mets first... has a nice ring to it!

And it's always unwise to count out the Yankees...they have a lot of key injuries....but they also have an owner with deep pockets...and who will do anything to win...
and don't look now, but the LA Dodgers are also in first in the west!!! |

... thanks to a 4 - game sweep of Arizona to the Mets. Out scored them 37-9 in the series. You're right about the Yankees too. They did ok against the tigers. As long as it isn't Boston! Or the Dodgers, for that matter...

ok. so here we are at the all-star break. how's everybody's teams doing? well...
CARDINALS - 48-39 1st place, 4 game lead PHILLIES - 40-47 2nd place, 12 GB ASTROS - 43-46 4th place, 6 GB YANKEES - 50-36 2nd place, 3 GB METS - 53-36 1st place, 12 game lead CUBS - 34-54, 5th place, 14 1/2 GB TIGERS - 59-29 1st place, 2 game lead for the most part, everyone's still doing well (except for the Cubs and Phillies) with the Tigers, Mets, Yankees, and Cardinals looking real good so far. now for the second half of the season... |
