Health issues....diet :ready2eat ...exercise :muscles: ...fitness: Let's discuss them all. I am trying to lose 35 pounds. :Help Heart disease and diabetes run rampant in my family (the maternal side). My cousin had her first heart attack at age 36! :Scared I do not want to travel that same road.

I did Atkins for 8 wks. and lost 20 pounds, so I will be going back on it soon. It isn't that hard, it's just that the Holiday's were coming and I was visiting and eating and visiting and forgot about Atkins. I really like the way it made me feel though. Lots of energy. I should probably start jogging again too. I'll have to start all the way back at walking though!:p

Atkins Diet
:( My husband and I tried the Atkins diet recently and I hated it!!! Potatoes and corn are my fave veggies and I couldn't have either! I felt very deprived and I didn't have all the energy people talk about. Maybe I wasn't doing something right.
I will look into the other diet you mentioned here. I've been reading about the Body for Life "diet". Anyone out there tried that one???

I have a stationary bike in my room, so I just throw on a good movie or music videos and I can bike for a good hour.
Once the awesome weather returns it's to the mountains. But for now we try and run at the tracks if there not too puddly!

you can try the adkins diet but you can't be on it forever. Maybe your body is lacking the essential vitamins ... before any diet, you really should talk to a nutritionist. They can tell you what ur lacking and what u need to cut down on ;)

I have a '01 Sportster...but I don't have my license yet. I'm taking a riding course in April and will finally be "legal".

I am not sure of your age, however, judging from the children I am assuming you are at an age where we women have tougher times with weight..your metabolism slows down a lot. Try drinking lots of water and eating smaller meals more often....and girl..lay off those potatoes.... Good Luck with the dieting. P.S. Walk as mcuh as you can!

I just do a shyt load of cardio!
3 to 5 a day running, outside or on a treadmill, EFX machine, I walk..I lift on a daily basis too. I do it so I can eat regular food! LOL
