well i don't really know either way whether or no tthis is only a teen forum the adults will still be allowed to veiw it well i just don't really understand i guess.i kinda like it tha way that it is right now...........

The ones I see campaigning to get this forum are adults. Some of you say you go over where the teens are and talk with them. This is exactly what I was talking about to people. You say a place "Just For Teens" but then you all are over there talking to them. You are NOT teens. That's why this would not work.

I am the one that said I talk to them and it is on the open for everyone threads that you run into them. Thats the point of having their own place. So that adults dont run across them in there. One of the younger members was getting harrased because people mistakenly thought the person was an ADULT! that is the reason that I said that maybe they should have their own forum. That way they KNOW who they are talking too and that it is another teenager! That way you dont assume that they are adults on the other threads, it happens everyday here. When they post on the site they are more vulnerable that way because most people dont take the time to get to know who they are talking to they just say whatever they want to without considering that this may not be someone to say such things too!

okay... uh.. even if it is restricted just to teens...i think certain adults who want to get in there are gonna find a way anyhow ..you just cant trust anyone anywhere on the net

Then if there is harrassment of teens on this then that is the matter to be looked into. Not giving them a place to make them more vunerable.
I've seen the opposite take place. Some teens were given a lot more respect because they were thought to be older. Those kind of things are just normal on a board.
I have to say, It seems like you have more of an interest here than just wanting the teens to have a place they can talk.

I will talk to them on the threads outside of teen forum, my point is, if they had a forum then people would know they were teens, and mostly ignore it like they do the teen thread. Have adults Mod for it so they can EYE potential probs that may arise that a teen might not recognize. You talk to certain teens on here too. Even if you dont realize it.

Because they (5 of them) ask me to help. And I dont think that wanting them to have a safe place to talk is all that awful. I dont like the idea of 11 year olds and 14 year olds getting harassed on powwows.com, what is so wrong with that? What are you trying to say about me?

I dont know, it really doesnt look like there is enuff. I just worry about that same thing BEGs, My mouth talkin to them if I dont know they are teens, that is why I was kinda hoping they could get there own place. I do like talking to Summer on here. I dont think there is anything wrong with wishing her good luck in Lacrosse. But that is when she posts for everyone to see, I dont want to use the teen forum. I guess everyone thinks its better if they just assume they are adults. I just thought that if they had their own forum then they could talk to each other and not worry. I guess I wasnt thinking about potential pervs seeking them out. Its just sad that they cant have their own place to meet and talk because of some sick individuals. I didnt think anyone at powwows.com was that way anyway but I seem to be wrong.
