Hope you sailed through with flying colors, Paul. It's hard to stand by and 'watch' knowing you can't do anything and want to help in SOME way. The two of you sound like a great couple and now you are a 'family'!

That fluid thing happened to my step daughter, too. I'm just glad Brooke is here, now, and pretty soon you'll be walking around with her at night rubbing her back, comforting her so...you can go back to sleep!

I'm doing great. It was hard to watch Kelli go through the pain, but other than that I did fine--didn't faint!

Correction

The birth time was 7:43pm. Not sure who won the contest yet, I'll try to figure it out later this week.

Kelli and Brooke will come home tommorrow.

I've been coming home in the mornings to shower, check email, feed our bird, etc.

She sure is! Start saving your pennies, Paul. In about 15 years you'll have clothes bills, cell phone, nails, hair.... us girls are soooooooooo much fun!

I've never done this before, but here goes: I'll guess my birtdate of July 14th, 9:00 A.M. Congrats to you and your wife, you look forward to having a sweet daughter being born in July. I guess July 19th, 6am. As for the name, when our daughter was born we chose the names of 2 people that were special to us, Victoria for 1 of my oldest friends and because it means victory and Dove my favorite great aunt's middle name. Giving our daughter a name that means Victorious Peace. Since most of my fathers family is military her name has a special meaning to us.
So you might think of who you wish to honor, the meaning of the name and what is most special to your hearts.
May Kelli have a easy and safe delivery, may the new darling of your hearts be whole and healthy and Paul we wish you strength, patience and a happy healthy family.
Other words of advice, stay with Kelli in the delivery room, find a doctor you both feel comfortable with for the baby and throw out the baby books. My Cherokee adopted grandmother gave me the BEST ADVICE of all when we had our daughter.
If your hot/cold the baby is too. When you need to go to the bathroom check the babies diaper. If your hungery, feed the baby too.
Final piece of advice keep a list of ALL the names you considered and add a few really bad ones in the baby book. Then when the child is a teen and complains they hate their name, pull it out and show them what they could have ended up being called. Should have seen my daughters face when she realized she could have been named Winniatoska Spring, Morning Dove,
Catherine Willow.
