PowWows.com Upgrade - New Features

We are working to upgrade the forum software and photo gallery software.

Please be patient while we complete these upgrades. We will try not to have any downtime. But with any upgrade there may be some issues and problems that arise.

The Galleries will get several new features including a "Zoom Lens" addition that I hope you'll like!

On the forums there will be several great new features! The biggest addition will be features for social networking. The forums will now have features found on sites like MySpace.com, Facebook.com and MyTribalSpace.com. These include friends, custom profiles, groups and more!

Here is a list of some of the new features!

* Inline spam management & prevention
* Thread tagging
* Search cloud / tag cloud
* Thread prefixes
* Reciprocal friendships between users
* Public visitor messaging on profile pages with 'conversation' feature
* User picture galleries with user comment facility
* User-created social groups with invite only and moderated membership options
* Extended member profile pages
* Customizable member profile pages with admin-controlled styling abilities
* Inline editing of custom user profile fields
* Lightbox viewer for attached images
* Viewable and comparable history maintained for post edits
* Extended re-authentication for inline moderation actions
* Notices system for navigation bar
* Multiple human-verification systems including reCAPTCHA, image verification and Q/A
* User change history
* Social bookmarking integration

It's really cool!

I noticed my gifts are gone and I got somebody else's LOL,
and bank still doesn't work....

I haven't tried everything out yet, but I do like the change!

so far I like it but as Margy said I have other peoples gifts, it happons every time I aprove a member asking to be my buddy.
But as i explore it I really llike what you have done... Thank-You

I know this is alot of work with the upgrades.. but will it ever be easier to put up pics? like on Myspace???

I'm aware of those issues. I am probably going to have to move the points system to another program.

Im sure its just me.. but the challenge for me is when it says file size too big or something like that.. I mess with it for a lil bit then I give up. I end up just posting the pics I want to share in a thread with my friends in it so they can see it.. The ones I have n the gallery rite now were uploaded for me by someone else. lol
