Finally we have the new chat room!

Please visit our new chat room by clicking the Chat button above.

Thanks to those of you that have worked very hard raising the $ for this!

Thanks to Mato especially, she really spearheaded the effort!

The room you see now, is just in its beginning stages. We will have more features including Instant Messaging in a few days. I'm trying to install and get it all working, but I wanted to give you the basic room now!!

I tried clicking on the button above, and got a weird message saying I was not authorized to access the link or someting weird like that...My computer is going absolutely bonkers.

I kinda liked the feature where you could see if anyone was in the room before you actually went there. Is that going to be in the new system?

Looks good. Once I got rid of the big blockhead icon. :lol

the new chat room is definitely great!

THANKS to everyone who worked on it!!!

But I miss one small thing: the status line on the frontpage of the gathering. It told you who was currently in the chatroom.

Is it possible to make that for the new one, too????

the new chat is definitely nicer than the old one.... coupla questions, though: is there any way that one's settings can be saved, so you don't have to reset them everytime you go into the chat? And, is there anyway for individuals to set the color of their own text? Right now the only color setting changes everyone's text to the same color, not just your own. And what about smilies?

I don't know about the saving feature. I don't think you can, but I'll look into it.

There are smilies and I'm putting a guide together for them.

Don't know about the color thing, I'll look into it.

Don't have a seperate list for Who's Chatting, yet, but you can view the Who's Online section and see who is in the chatroom.
