already registered; glad to see you promoting it here, I don't see many other native people besides myself going to the polls on a regular basis, here anyways. I have signed my husband up to vote, yet he's actually only gone and voted 1-2 times in the past 5 years. I tell him; stop complaining about issues that involve politics, you didn't go out and vote for these people or these issues, you have no right to complain. Also, I make sure and vote when my kids are available to go with me, I want them to learn that voting is part of what they must do when they become an adult. It doesn't bother them and is a good learning experience; they listen to the issues on the news and in the local news paper. They are always asking me who I will vote for and why, sometimes even they have their favorite for me to vote on.

My son and his group will be performing at a big concert in the Southwest somewhere for awareness of the young to register and vote. I don't know any details but it looks good! I made sure he registered to vote too.

Thumbs up

Hey so what about the Native Vote 2004 headed up by NCAI? We're the swing votes guys, we need to get political nationally, the states are killing us slowly. http://www.indiancountry.com has a great cartoon about how the Republicans are finally trying to snag us (votes). For once, we need to find out who's pro indian and work with'em, if we keep voting dem they already take us for granted and the repubs won't cater cause we traditionally vote democrat, soooo let's get with it, I encourage everyone eligible to get out there, register and vote.

I completely support thier effort.

Does the NCAI have any promotional items I can use here on the site, like banners?

If so I'd love to put them up here and include them in newsletters.

Thanks
