CRST Pow WOW
who went tho this one? i was there not a whole lot. It was kinda windy as well. but over all good powwow. the last day Monday, took forever i had to leave just to make it back in time for work the next day.

yeah, we cruised up there...21 drums, some good dancers...LOTS of wind!!! LOTS of dust!!! and LOTS of trash!!! It was a little disheartening seeing empty trash cans and watching people just throw trash on the ground...on their own rez!!
 But, it was fun dancing and even did a little singing. Pretty good pow wow...just unorganized.

yah. usually at out door powwows, the AD has tight controll of that trash, i mean the MC and can say something but its up to the AD to ensure that trash isnt all over the place, I seen one drum group come back to its drum have to clean other peoples trash out before they sang. Unorganized is right, i wanted to dance in that grass special but if i wasnt out of there by 8 pm their time then i wouldnt make it in time for work the next day down in Kansas. people do drive long ways to go to that powwow. i mean it is my rez, but i dont live there. I like going back, but in them conditions makes me wonder bout next year. who knows maybe different next year as well.

I went to Eagle Butte Sunday and Monday, boy it was windy and rained the last day, i was hoping the winners would be announced early since it was raining so i could get on the road, but they didnt, went on forever LOL.......the powwow was really small compared to previous years but i always liked this powwow.........i didnt catch all the winners but i know a few:
Womens Fancy 1st-Skye Hall (tie w/ jericho) 2nd-Jericho Thunder Hawk 3rd-Taylor (Spoonhunter) McCauley 4th-Codi High Elk 5th-??? Mens Grass Dance Special winner was Luke Cloud 2nd-Jon Taken Alive 3rd-Buck Spotted Tail
