Here is my detailed trip report:
Pow wow, rain, pow wow, rain, pow wow, rain, pow wow, rain ,pow wow, rain, pow wow, rain, pow wow, rain, pow wow, rain, pow wow, rain, pow wow, rain, pow wow, rain.
Oh yeah, there was also a marriage proposal in the arena. That was cool.

The proposal was awesome on Saturday night. It did get rained out that night. However, Sunday night more than made up for it. It was beautiful weather and all the mens contests went well. Stroud is always a good powwow and the rain only slowed it down a little bit. I posted some winners in the contest result forum.

I feel bad for the Stroud powwow committee. Last year the rains just turned their beautiful encampment into a mud pool. It was a stinky mud too which was like standing in the middle of a cattle pasture, lol. This year it was rain, rain, rain, but at least it wasn't as stinky as last year. I'm glad I didn't dance though.

It actually wasn't THAT bad. I was mainly joking. Friday night was okay, and they still got alot in on Saturday night. We couldn't stay for Sunday so we probably missed the best of it. I mainly felt sorry for the campers. That must have been a mess for them. My wife doesn't have much patience when it comes to weather, but she said seeing the proposal was worth it. Made her cry.

No big deal if it rains there, they still have that large shelter, there that they use for gourd dancing right. Just go under there and have fun. Hahaha........ Its been a while since I have been to stroud, but was always a great dance.
