we rang in the new year at a little event south of louisville ky..vally station ky .at a bethany united methodist church gym put on by amanda fox and several other people from the area..it was a good event...maza napin host..co-host ISTAyapi. invited grass-eagle. there was good fellowship,,food..and lots of good dancing..but boy was it hard on us comming home in the driving wind with our big van. but creator watches out for us.

LOL... I like ya Pheji... just didn't do much new years, was planning on going to Parnell's until I found out it wasn't going on... that sucked, I was really looking forward to it!

We had a good time there last year, it's worth a look... just glad they ain't calling for the same frigid temps there as they had last year... it was fricken cold there last year! LOL

I'd rather be pow wowing than sitting at home is all I can say!

Happy New Year. We spent it at the Red Bird Center in OH, doing the sobriety things. Paselo, Red Shield was missed this time, but, it was still good. Guess we will see you all in Lancaster this weekend :)

We went to four powwows during the week from the day after Christmas to New Years Eve:

Wapato Longhouse Christmas Celebration (Yakama rez, Wapato, WA)
Nixyaawii New Years Celebration (Umatilla rez, Pendleton, OR)
White Swan Longhouse New Years Powwow (Yakama rez, White Swan, WA)
NARA New Years Eve Sobriety Powwow (city powwow, Portland, OR)

They were all good time but man were we worn out from singing that week. We just went back down to Portland a week ago for Portland Community College "Wacipi" Traditional Powwow. Next week, maybe off to Nespelem for Ground Hog's Day Powwow (Colville rez, WA), and definitely planning for Lincoln's Powwow at Simnasho Longhouse (Warm Springs rez, OR). So the new year's really off and running for us.

Man, why didn't you guys come out?

There were only three of us, Thunder Nation and Maza Napin... as for pay, dude you woulda got better from one blanket than we got paid... LOL. There was a good crowd, and it looked like Maza Napin really did well with theirs. But, when you need to sing, you need to sing.

Everyone was asking us about Lima, so we may decide to go, we'll see.

You're right LOL! But it was a good pow wow, I just wish they'd give it more space........and keep the speakers down at ear level...<grin> so r we goin to Lima? If we are we need a room with a motel thats pet friendly. Camper still needs more work, not ready for camping YET!
