ok all i know is the drum contest went to THE BOYZ...WILDROSE..WARSCOUT...NORTH BEAR...SOUTHERN CREE
The womens backup went to GHOST CANYON...candi...dondi and crew! they DOPE....then WILD ROSE...congratz! bix rox..and then RIVER (?sorry jackin up namez..it was a text lol) CREE...and WHITELODGE

i didnt catch all the winners b/c i left after they announced the jr/teen categories (before GE, which i liked having to drive 12 hrs)............havent been to this one for many years, but i thought it was a good one..........hot though

dayum i was wishin an hopin that north bear was gonna take it cuz they was jammin the whole weekend, when they sang me an my family jus had to get up an dance!! we also thought red spirit was gonna take 1st in 49, their drum beats where 49 style not too fast they was rockin' the last night of the contest when they whipped out black jack daisy, an when the sun goes down at night, their back up was rockin' also!! but all in all i thought it was a good powwow even though we didn't leave till4 every night!! lol good job an congrats winners!!

hey congrats to all da winners..........man, wish I could of went, but stayed home and went to our local pow-wow out in Hays. Shyt, lots of good singers and dancers, huh? sound like a goot one.

I know Michael Roberts took the special!! He won $2000, a Horse, new Beaded outfit, Satin Star Quilt and other awesome gifts. Isiah Bob, and Spike took 2nd and 3rd and two others. It was a really good special that the family put on for closure. It was too bad that they had to have it all at the end of the pow wow AFTER the regular contest winners were announced. The committee announced regular contest winners and then the family had to have their honor song, contest results, etc. after that. It was too bad that it happened that way, but I was happy to see so many people supporting the Jack and Abrahamson families stay behind and support both families. The Jacks came up from Arizona for the special and too support Willow and the Abrahamson's for their son and Lady Bird made some very comforting words about Daryl and their family. I felt bad that the special had to be at the end of the pow wow and after most of the people left. That should've been handled better by the committee. But, it's over now and I'm glad Willow and Nakee can move on and progress in their lives. __________________ Don't forget why you dance.......to make otherz feel goot!----from the North...
