2007 Alaska Powwow A Great Success!

Well, our weekend concluded last night. The 2007 Midnight Sun Intertribal Powwow was a blast. Lakota Thunder came, and gave our powwow the nicest compliment. "Your powwow and the people here are the most hospitable we have ever come across in all our travels.." They were so darned good. I hope we can bring them up again sometime, or someone just as wonderful. So, all in all, I sold lots of beadwork for our family, we ate alot of moose-head soup at the powwow potlatch, we met lots of new people from all over the country, I danced and danced and danced and danced, and I woke up today with sore shoulders and heavy legs. This powwow just keeps growing and growing. With all the participants and hundreds of visitors this year, I'm sure it will just continue to get bigger and greater. Basee' Wocuswoman

Sounds like a great powwow up in Alaska, WocusWoman! Glad to hear it went well and get some rest for those sore spots!
