Toledo Pow Wow October 21-22

Just got back from the pow wow held at Summet Hall in Toledo this weekend... in a word... awesome!

In addition to our drum, we were also there with old friends Thunder Nation, Wingush, and Eagle Boy, as well as a new drum out of Wisconsin that set up called Medicine Wheel... there was a lot of good singing and dancing, it was a great gathering and it was nice to make it up... it was worth the 5 hour drive for us! And food... hollay, was there food!

I had a great time, and look forward to coming back if the committee will have us!

Paselo!

ditto? naw, that was the best pow wow of this year! I didn't intend to dance cause I wore my civis but with all that good drumming from the groups I had to dance! I hope next year it can be in a bigger place, with same people. no b/s, no politics, and best of all people I hadn't seen in long time. I was so glad to see them! Thanks to all the drums who were there for gettin me off my butt and gettin "jiggy"

Had a great time, but am looking forward to a little time off now, marching band is done, and weekends free up for a while, but give me a week, I'll be ready to go again!... LOL

Kim, everyone was invited that stayed at the "Channel 2 No Tell Motel". Everyone hanging around the drum was invited as well. I'm surprised you didn't hear about it.

Any hoo...... I just found the thread or I would have responded faster.

WE had a blast at the powwow

Ken

Best of the Year?

It was OK, I would not say best of the year, especially if you have been to powwows all across the U.S and Canada.

As far as having a good time with others and seeing some that one has not seen in months etc - YES it was good. As for things like number of vendors and some quality, MC, location and all that - NO. That center is just too small and you can't really have that many vendors, etc.

The Drums were very, very good. But the MC got rather boring at times.

It was OK for an indoor event.

I have to agree, it was good, but my favorite of the year... hands down... still has to be Austinburg.

Good singing, good dancing, good vendors, great sound and a great MC... and food! hollay... if you walked away hungry it was your own dang fault!

Austinburg... definately my vote for best pow wow of the year in the OH, IN, KY, PA, WV area last year!

Just my opinion, take it or leave it...

Paselo!

ok whats with channel 2?

I keep reading abut channel 2 stuff, what'd i miss? nebber mind, my virgin eyes prolly couldn't take it anyways.....
Austinberg, hmmmm Shawn it was a good pow wow for some as far as the drums and most of the people we enjoyed it, but other things for us weren't so good. But we fixed that one. And thanks to you and your drum, things got healed and changed for us in ways you can't imagine. Thanks for inviting us to Toledo! We hadn't been out since Austinberg, didn't have the heart yanno? But when we came up there we knew it was a good thing and we hope others know just how much we missed them. And we hope things will settle back to better communication and all that ugly mess can be forgotten and forgiven. So, for me I have to say Toledo!
