How many powwows in a year?
Hello, new idea for a new thread. So, how many powwows are able to make it to in a given year? As for myself; as a child and teen I probably averaged 10 a year. Nowadays, as a married woman with kids and living in isolated Alaska, I'm lucky to go to 2-3 in a year. Very sad:( |

Gone to apow wow, OOPs, just got home
Don't really know how many. Has gas prices affected any one's traveling. I live in Texas, not too many really good pow wows here so we travel, but gas has been pretty high here, so travel hasn't been as easy. I've had to be a little more selective. Maybe, 2006 will be better.Keep dancin' by the way I'm not a Tiny Tot dancer |

I usually average about 8 or 9 a year. This year, SADLY, I only made it to 2! I'm so upset with myself.
I'm not a dancer but I have serveral family members who are & I enjoy going to see them, as well as all the other incredible dancers. Hopefully, I could make it to the Gathering of Nations next year in Albuquerque!

Last year, about 8 maybe or more, can't remember. But this year about 15-20 depending on work schedule and family. Next powwow is Hozhogii Days in Durango. See you all there!

We averaged about 20-25 gatherings last year... Will be about the same or more this year. Safe travels everyone!
