Eastern Shawnee, Seneca MO/OK

I got back from the Eastern Shawnee dance and had a great time. They are good host and have a nice dance ground.

The Tribe honored all of the Veterans that were there. They called each of us by name and Military service. We were given a Medal and certificate, a very honorable thing. I'm not sure how many of us were out in the arena but I would guess there was about 150 or more. Just about all of us were NDN but there were a few Non-NDN guys in the line, NDN married. The eldest Shawnee was about 88 yrs old and the next eldest was about 84. I got to visit with Quapahndn girl, hey Deb. Good to see you and your Dad. The Gourd Dance Society I belong to was the Host Gourd.

If you have the oppertunity next year, you should plan on being there.
