Long Plains Powwow

Hey all! Just got back from the powwow a few hours ago, man was it ever HOT! Ended up red as a tomato on my face and back of the neck

Silly me for NOT bringing any sunscreen. Had to leave early, heat was too much:( But none the less, made it to all the Grand Entries, and exhibiton dances execpt for todays exhibiton, had to come home.

There was some GREAT drums, the few that come to mind are Mystic River, and Assiniboine Jr's. Did they ever kick *** on those contest songs.

There was a grass dance special, they got it good

Four songs and there was a winner.

I will post results or anyone else please let us know when you get them. Powwow is still going on as of 952pm CDT. I had a great time, saw some people that I had not seen in a while. The arbor was great, people where fun and the grounds where great as well for camping.

SO how was it there??? Who all won?? It was a hot one that weekend eh. Next year i plan to go there but i will stay in a hotel!! If you rememeber can you place the winners on this thread!!
