Thumbs down SC Indian Affairs Commission Unity PowWow

I don't want to be negative, but wow. This gathering is atypical of a true southern powwow. Unfourtunatly its not atypical of what south carolina has to offer. My biggest complaint with it is the press that it got. There were people complaining to the news that the mayor refused to help fund this "cultural arts festival". I don't know for sure, but I doubt that MIEG receives any public money from the mayor to hold their powwows here in columbia. The news report made south carolina natives look like whiney brats that were usuing the "poor me" complaint for public moneys.

Sorry to be negitive.

No I mean southern plains, which is why I said Atypical. (As all good pow-wows should be when you are brought into the circle by a Ponca.)

Thanks for the info about your pow-wow. I was unsure wheather ya'll did or not receive public funds. I apologise for speaking about things I do not know.
