I won't be able to go. Wish I could. I'll have a weekend class to and there are more powwows coming up that will be on the weekend.

there was a thread about ASU's powwow (same date originally as NABI) and what they wqere going to do, and then there were threads that discussed NABI going up against gathering.. Just read the old threads.

It was originally scheduled in April during the same weekend as ASU pow wow so some people wondered about it's effect on ASU's turn out, etc.

I am glad they are having age group splits but seriously....40-64...thats a big spread especially for the elders to have to dance against the 40 year olds....shoulda been 40-55....thn 55 and over or even 40-59....but the dates are awesome...lol

Isn't that the same time as Avi Pow Wow in Needles, Ca, Ira Hayes Memorial Gourd Dance in Sacaton and Flagstaff Pow Wow?

the arena is not a downgrade.. just in size actually

it is a verry nice facility in in great location. yeah its smaller but more than adequate for this pw. tons of parking, all padded stadium seating, theres alot of benefits to this. if you got questions about this pw or the area, jus ask k?

probably number one.. lol no im not affiliated with the pw. i been passin out fly3rs for the pw thats about it.

I have heard nothing but BAD things about NABI, can't bring in food & the food they sell there is REALLY expensive. The admission is TOO expensive, huge AGE SPREAD in all categories and they F'd up the tabulation of points last year & people who should have placed didnt- the tabulators threw out GOOD ballots! Weird line up of contests- no 'grouping' of like 'all juniors', 'teens', 'adults': they would have an adult category THEN have a junior category, etc. etc. AND they have the nerve to CHANGE THE DATE to the same weekend as Avi Casino pow-wow outside of Laughlin NV- a family oriented/ community based pow-wow NOT out for PROFIT. I suggest EVERYONE go to Avi- an awesome indoor, maintained dance arena, FREE admission, FREE refreshments for dancers: coffee, water, soda, iced tea and pastries in the mornings. CHEAP rates at the hotel- ask for the pow-wow or tribal rate. Plenty of FREE parking and PROFESSIONAL TABULATORS! GO TO AVI!!!!
