I just got back from this pow-wow, and I most humbly predict that The Boyz should win their first ever Julyamsh drum contest. I really thought they were jamming wicked.
I think that places 2-5 will be a tight contest between Buck Wild, Wild Rose, Meskwaki Nation, and Midnite Express. I have never seen Buck Wild before, they impressed the heck out of me, good songs and they rocked them. Also for the first time that I remember, the weather was really nice and comfotable, usually the temperature hangs 95-100.

Saturday update
A few more non-contest drums showed up today, Flickertail, Yakama Boys and Battle Axe. I shot some vids with my digital camera and downloaded them to youtube. Look for Julyamsh 2008. Quality isn't the greatest due to being bumped, shaken (not stirred), people crossing in front of me and the infamous Julyamsh echo. They'll serve to update I guess and hopefully someone posts better vids soon because the drums were rockin' tonight!
