Last year was the first year I missed this and only b/c Piumsha Treaty Days was the same weekend. Muckleshoot Veterans Powwow was once the first weekend of September until one year, Kelvin asked me to recommend an alternative weekend during the summer; and thus it was moved to late June.
From all reports I understand it was one of the Northwest's biggest powwows and may well have rivaled Julyamsh as the biggest actual outdoor powwow in the Pacific Northwest. The "new" powwow grounds are now a year old and feature LOTS of flat camping space. Whether I make it this year depends on other potential schedule conflicts, but I would definitely recommend this powwow with two thumbs up to anyone. |

Remember the wind last year? I remember watching a tent get picked up and blown over onto someone's van?
But I do agree that this is one of the coast's biggest and funnest pws. We'll be there. And the new grounds are very accomodating.
