I would come, but, it's on the Duke Campus. That just wouldn't be right for the true Tarheel Nation. Naw, really though, we have a Bike show that day. Hope y'all have a good time. Even if it is on the Duke Campus.

I know right - it still should be a good event - even if it is on Duke's campus. lol -- For real, it is a big deal they are holding this event - so everyone - come support it. If you can not make it here, go support the ECU pow-wow. We all need to support our college pow-wows. These kids are our future, and we need to support their efforts and offer encouragement as much as we can.

That's just my 2 cents worth, tho...do what ya wanna.....just pow-wow hard and laugh out loud....have an incredible day....

i agree w/dancingeagle... i'd come but it's on duke campus and as a true md terps/nc tarheels fan, it just wouldn't be right!!!... haha, jks.
that's awesome they got donna to be the head lady - she's a TRUE duke fan!
i'd like to come though, i will def think about it, jsut keep us updated!

I can see Donna's new outfit now. She'll be all decked out in Duke blue with the Duke mascot on her back, a Duke dance pouch, a Duke feathered fan, Duke mocs, Duke, Duke, Duke. I really feel for my boy Robbie, LOL!!!!!

Well I can't make it as when I mentioonmed it to the wife, she gave me the" oh heck no" look. I learned from the last two kids that you never cross a woman with PPD. She cry one minute, and bite your head off the next.

come on now you guys should not bash Duke so hard... I mean they do have me as head dancer, whom is a NC State Fan.. !! But I am mad at the dukies..I made a bet on them last weekend, and they end up losing to dem tarheels.. oh well..

Here's some more info. for you all.

Drum update: Southern Sun and Youghtamund will also be there!

Parking: I just updated the calendar with parking information on where to get to the FREE parking lot. Here it is on a map:
Parking available at:Welcome to Duke University - Campus Map - Allen Lot

We will also be having a feast (catered BBQ) for all participants at the close of the powwow, around 5 PM.
Day money for registered dancers will be $15 and registration is free. Just register so we'll have your names and contact infomation to let you know about next year!

As for being a Tarheel fan, well I am a student at Carolina but I am on the Duke powwow committee! They asked me to be on the committee since I have experience and they wanted it to be the best first annual powwow possible! Something like that :) Also Smokin Ace's daughter will be one of several TARHEEL volunteers who will be coming out to support the Duke students in their efforts, so I invite you all to come to Durham! This will be a fun dance with good feelings, I assure you all.

Also...there will be an 18+ after party at "Club forty9" Aka Club 9, 746 Ninth Street, Durham, NC.

Brother, you are confused. A NC State fan ( won't hold it against ya), Head Male for a Duke p/w (gettin' shaky), and bet against the Tarheel Nation (must of been on drugs). Prayer does work and you can still convert to be a Heels fan!!!!
