No solid numbers yet, but it seems that attendance was up significantly from the last couple of years. I believe I counted around 32 dudes in the Men's Northern Traditional category and about 6 in Southern. Host drums were Eyahey Nakoda and Southern Boys. Contest drums were Blacklodge, Rocking Horse and Kicking Woman. Non-contest drums included Four Directions, Medicine Water, Grey Dog, 500 Nations, Broken Rope, Rose Creek, Lightening Spirit, White Hawk, Battle Axe, K-Town, Spearfish USA, Sitting Horse, High Rock, Eagle Warrior, Highway 20, Two Birds, sorry if I missed maybe 2-3 names that are slipping my mind for the moment.
Dance Contest Results: I didn't copy down the dance results, busy with stuff; if someone got these or a powwow committee person checks this thread feel free to post results. Drum Contest Results: 1. Blacklodge 2. Rocking Horse 3. Kicking Woman The hand drum contest was won by Mr. Frank "Sonny" Eaglespeaker. Final winners/runner ups were chosen by crowd-cheer-volume (which often just means those with the most friends present, win). But Sonny did give out some damn smooth tunes.
