revasjingles is an unknown quantity at this point
Back in the day, northern plains winter powwows used to have basket socials where there were baskets with many various prizes. Then there were food and blankets etc. But it would be very interesting to see prizes of beads, beading thread, rhinestones (are very costly), gift certificates for WAL-MART, Mc Donalds. Items like this would be very well appreciated and useful.

I vote cash too then Gas/food & hotel gift cards.

No winner take all, it always seems to dis' everyone else.

At least 3 places w/ 5-10 consolations, that way everyone gets something &/or help get'n home and are surely more apt to return the next year (more winners, more happiness).

T's, jackets & such are always nice too *bonus*

Red Earth would be the perfect place to initiate it. Expecially if it was sponsored by Powwows.com. It would have a lot of interest all around powwow country.

Think about it.

A cruise would be a good prize for the winner!

(I also like the powwow of your choice prize... but realistically, the logistics would be a nightmare and time consuming).

Marty Thurman won it. George Alexander, Tuffy Chaino, John Gibson and Mike Gabbard all got consolation. I Think there was 9 all together in the contest.
