I thought the pow wow turned out pretty good. The Host Drum Eastern Bull did what I thought to be an outstanding job (sounded good guys). Bird Chopper family drum did an outstanding job as well.
On behalf of Red Oak, I would like to take a moment to thank the Committee for allowing us to sing some of the Honorings/Grand Entries. To have the people approach us and tell us how our music made them feel was priceless. And to have our drum brushed was a tremendous honor. While I know what it is like to touch a dancer with my voice and to have experienced that on many occassions, it was a great experience for my guys who had never been on the receiving end. This was truly priceless and they will never forget that feeling.

Didn't the senior Bird Chopper whistle you as while he danced? BTW you guys sounded really good yesterday. The powwow was really good and I had an excellant time. All three drums sounded good, the food was awesome, and the dancing great. Will be there again next year. |

Like Bird Chooper... good dudes, Rick Toby and whoever else Rick has singing with him that weekend... LOL.
Glad to have them as friends, but Rick has got some wicked trick songs... LOL When you see them again, tell him Shawn and Velma off of Red Shield say hi. Paselo

Glad to hear that everything went well. I wanted to come, but, I did not get off of work until 0300 Saturday morning. So, I went to a Bike Show that one of the local Bike clubs had.
